In May/June 2016 five nurses from the Gold Coast Hospital visited the Kirakira hospital as part of the ‘Nurses for Nurses’ exchange.
In September 2015 two nurses from the Kirakira Hospital were brought to the Gold Coast. During their visit they were special guests for the first Gold Coast Nursing and Midwifery Symposium. They were able to have several days in the Gold Coast University Hospital both teaching and learning the local nurses. In addition, they were taken to the local tourist destination and entertained by gold coast nurses and Kirakira medical student alumni.
